Things that you might need to know

Foreign visitors with valid passports are not required to make reservations for entry, and can proceed to the ticket office directly. (Valid through December 31st , 2018)

Welcome to the Chimei Museum online advance booking system. To ensure that both your rights and the Museum's rights are protected, please read through the following Important Points to Note and indicate your agreement; you can then continue on to the next stage in the online booking process.
 
1. The services provided by this system include:online advance booking, advance booking related inquiries, advance booking cancellation, visitor information, etc.
2. This system operates 24 hours a day, and can be used to book visits to the Museum for any time between the following day and the last day of the following month; advance bookings cannot be taken for same-day visits.
3. To ensure other visitors’ rights and the quality of the Museum visit, if reservation holder confronted with any of the below listed, the Museum will cancel his/her reservation and forfeit his/her right to make future reservations. Also, if any of the violation occurred and harmed the Museum, the Museum reserves the right to claim:
(a) Completed reservation online but did not show up nor failed to cancel the 3rd time.
(b) Completed large reservation booking and cancel large quantity which affects others’ rights to reserve.
(c) Selling the reservation booking number or illegally markup ticket price to resell.
(d) Violate any of the Museum visiting regulations and refuse to cooperate with the Museum staff.
4. The online advance booking system distinguishes between individual bookings and group bookings. In the case of individual bookings, tickets may be booked in advance for a maximum of 9 people; in the case of group bookings, tickets may be booked in advance for a maximum of 100 people. When booking tickets in advance online, users must fill out the correct date, the time period, the number of visitors, and the type of ticket being purchased, and must also enter all of the required personal details.
5. Once the online advance booking process has been completed, the system will automatically send an advance booking confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address that you gave; the content of this e-mail will include your advance booking code number. Please be sure to keep this booking number, and the details of the date and time for which you booked your visit to the Museum, for your own reference to ensure that you arrive at the right time and on the right day, or in case you need to make any inquiries regarding your booking, or if you need to cancel your booking.
6. The system provides advance booking inquiry and cancellation functions. If you wish to alter the date or time of your visit, or the number of people who need tickets, then you will need to cancel your original booking and make a new booking. You can make alterations to booking details up until 3:00 p.m. on the day before your scheduled visit.
7. To maintain the quality of the Museum experience for other visitors, the Museum reserves the right to refuse entry to persons and vehicles in excess of the originally booked number of people and vehicles.
8. Before your visit, please familiarize yourself with the Important Information for Visitors, and ensure that all of the other people in your party are familiar with this information. To help maintain the quality of the Museum experience for all visitors, please be sure to abide by all Museum regulations. The Museum reserves the right to refuse entry to persons who fail to abide by Museum regulations.
9. Chimei Museum reserves the right to modify these Important Points to Note regarding advance booking. Any such revisions will be announced on the Museum website; no individual notification will be made. If you continue to make an advance booking using this website, you will be deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the revised regulations.
