Origami Universe II : Pop-Up Wonders

This exhibition is a sequel to our temporary exhibition, Origami Universe : an exhibition of art and innovation through folding, back in 2016. On the foundation of “folding,” the artists in this exhibition have incorporated other origami techniques into their works, such as “cutting, gluing, pressing, turning, and pulling,” to demonstrate how 2D paper can spring into 3D works with different styles, and creative ideas. This exhibition will be a wonderful visual feast of 2D paper popping into 3D excitements for viewers to explore the possibilities of both science and art in different aspects, ranging from part of the work to the entire work, static state to dynamic movement, and forms to functions.

Pop-up Book Symphony！

PassedLecture Information

[Pop-up Book Symphony Series Lecture] is a plan to tour around Taiwan by the "Half-Goatee Pop-up Book Lab" team in 2020. During the difficult period of the epidemic, the team hopes that through the fun making of hand-made pop-up books, people can heal from the restriction of the closed down. This series of lectures are based on the theme of retro message transmission tools. We hope to lead you back to the golden years.

This lecture, "Record Player" 3D note card, based on the structure of vinyl records, supports a gorgeous morning glory-shaped amplifier. Some parts allow you to write the message you want to leave for that special person. Semi-customized 3D card, allows you to deliver your message from the bottom of your heart !
