Beyond the Shadows

Have you ever noticed the existence of shadows around you？
In real life, we are bound to perceive the existence and changes of "light," but rarely do we pay attention to the "shadow" behind the light. Beyond the Shadows is a collection of fifteen artists from Taiwan and abroad, these works have subverted the superior-subordinate relationship between light and shadow and will bring you the most astonishing viewing experience of “shadows” in life.

Beyond the Shadows  Series



In response to Beyond the Shadows Exhibition, CHIMEI Museum launched its first Children’s Interactive Theater “The Lights and Shadows Adventure of Peter Pan” for the summer. The theater takes Peter Pan’s storyline and combines light and shadow games with immersive interactive theater design, allowing children to become the characters in the story and experience an exciting and challenging adventure.

This is how the story begins...
Peter Pan is a little boy who loves listening to stories. Every night he goes to little children’s house and hides himself to eavesdrop on the bedside stories. On this night, he came to Wendy’s room to listen to stories. The story is so wonderful and interesting that Peter Pan’s shadow is also fascinated and unwilling to leave. The shadow asks to stay and refuses to go home with Peter Pan. This is terrible for Peter Pan and he has to ask for help from everyone and this lead to a wonderful and exciting adventure of light and shadow. Let’s follow Peter Pan and Wendy’s footsteps, and start the journey !

The Lights and Shadows Adventure of Peter Pan
【Magical Day Camp at CHIMEI】*Mandarin Only
Date：2019/7/13～9/1 （available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday）
Time：10:00～14:00
Location：Tainan Metropolitan Park Management Center, Temporary Exhibition of CHIMEI Museum
Participants：Kindergarten and elementary school children (groups with 10+ )
Seats：2 camps/per day, 10-20 participants per camp
Fee： Special offer for group with 10-14 participants: NT $890 per person
　　　Special offer for group with 15-20 participants: NT $790 per person
　　　* Original Price NT$1300/per person
Note：
1. The museum offers an exclusive full service, which includes：
    Children's Interactive Theater（1.5 hours）, Light and Shadow DIY（30 mins）, Lunch（1 hour）, Beyond the Shadows Exhibition Tour（1 hour）.
2. The cost includes DIY materials, lunch box, and a ticket to《Beyond the Shadows》exhibition.
3. Every 10 participants should be accompanied by at least one teacher. The price for teacher is NT#350 each（without DIY materials）.
4. Recommended age: age 3 and above.

For Parent-child Participants
The Lights and Shadows Adventure of Peter Pan

Date：2019/7/13～9/1 （available on Saturday and Sunday）
Sessions：10:00, 14:00, 2 hours each session
Location：Tainan Metropolitan Park Management Center
Participants：Parent-child （one adult + one elementry child or younger）
Seats：10 Parent-child per session
Fee：Special offer NT$ 890/ per parent-child, includes two tickets to《Beyond the Shadows》exhibition.
          * Original Price NT$1650/per set
Notes：
1. Package includes：Children's Interactive Theater（1.5 hours）, Light and Shadow DIY（30 mins）
2. The cost includes one set of DIY materials.
3. Each group can be accompanied by one additional participant for NT $100 (no age limitation, price excluding DIY materials and exhibition ticket)
4. Recommended age: Age 3 and above.
